12/03/2009 - By Ray Wheatley - World of BoxingIBF#14, WBC#12,WBO#5 middleweight Daniel Geale (25-11-3, 14 KOs) made short work of Canada’s Ian MacKillop (25-11-3, 14 KOs) when he stopped in the import in round one at The Cube, Campbelltown, NSW, Australia on Wednesday.
In the main supporting bout, world class jr welterweight Lenny Zappavigna (18-0, 13 KOs) scored the biggest win of his career when he easily outpointed former IBF 130 pound champion Gairy St Claire (41-9-2, 18 KOs) over twelve to retain the IBF Pan Pacific jr welterweight title. Zappavigna connected with power head and body shots consistently that had the clever St Claire on the backmove.

Zappavigna’s workrate and aggression paved the way for his win.
34 year-old St Clair used his usual defensive mastery to make Zappavigna miss at times.

Touted as the next Lionel Rose, Kickett, who had only 13 fights under his belt had accomplished in twelve months more than any other prospect had done in their entire professional careers.
He beat a former two time World Title Challenger, a former World Champion and the WBO Latino Champ who was ranked at #11 by the WBO. After that loss, many pundits were wondering who would was now our best "prospect". Up stepped Lenny Zappavigna.

Exciting undefeated prospect Lenny Zappavigna kept his world title aspirations burning with an impressive 6th round stoppage of Tommy Browne on Friday night at The Cube in Campbelltown, Sydney, headlining a card promoted by Grange Old School Boxing.
21 year-old Zappavigna 17-0 (13) from Leppington started strongly prompting some thrilling two way exchanges with the much taller 25 year-old Browne 26-6-1 (11) from Campbelltown. Rounds 3 and 4 were memorable for some hard hitting combinations which hurt both boxers.

26/07/2008 - By Paul Upham at RingsideAustralian lightweight prospect Lenny Zappavigna kept his undefeated record with a ten round unanimous points decision over Leon Maratas from the Philippines, winning the vacant IBO Asia Pacific title on Friday night at Club Marconi in Bossley Park, NSW, headlining a well promoted card by Billy Hussein and Tommy Mercuri.
I give him a lot of credit, he gave me a good fight,” Zappavigna said of Maratas. “You can’t knock everybody out and I got ten rounds in. This was a good experience for me.”

Australian super featherweight champion Kickett, 20, improved his professional record to 7-0 with four KOs by stopping experienced Filipino Jun Paderna after just 1min 40s.
National lightweight champion Zappavigna retained his title in sensational fashion, recovering from a first-round knockdown to floor previously unbeaten Ryan Langham five times on his way to a third-round stoppage. Zappavigna, 19, improved his professional log to 11-0 with eight KOs.
